Many of us have blogs, websites, or articles/pages on the Internet. Part of making money with those different items is getting backlinks. However, this is often easier said then done.

Instructions
Things You'll Need:

* Internet Connection.
* Computer.
* Blog, Website, Articles, and or Webpages.

1.
Step 1

Write lots of good content. You know the types of things you link to, well others are looking for good content for them to link to as well. If you write something worth linking to, people will link to it.
2.
Step 2

Add your links to your profiles. We all have a million different profiles floating around out there for social networking sites, social bookmarking sites, message boards, forums, and other sites. Add your links to your profile!
3.
Step 3

Use your websites, blogs, and even articles or pages to link to others. Make sure it is appropriate at the time of linking. Add your blog link to articles about the same subject. Link to posts that are relevant to the topic at hand.
4.
Step 4

Network. You can use your friends that already have blogs, websites, or articles to link to your pages. This is often best as an exchange. You can also make friends who will do this or do link exchanges at sites set up for just that purpose.
5.
Step 5

Qassia. Fairly new on the scene this site is set up to link to the sites and pages that you want to link to. All you need to do is write articles and then pick out where you want the links to go to. This program is in closed beta and can only be joined with an invitation...my invite is at the bottom of the page if you are interested.
6.
Step 6

Social Bookmarking. While it is very common to use one or even several of the hundreds of bookmarking systems out there for all of your blogs and articles there is a fine line between spamming and bookmarking. A bookmarking site will add a link letting others add points of some sort for the items they think are really worth reading (and take away points for things they don't think are worth reading). This lets you get a link to your page and you can increase readership as well.
7.
Step 7

Commenting. This is a very popular option. You can leave comments on blogs, message boards, and forums. However, most comments will be deleted if they are spam. If you are adding lots of links or if your comment doesn't add to the discussion then you are wasting your time and someone else's. Add your link when relevant and make sure your comment adds to the discussion.
